Pineapple Fruit Salad Recipe
Ingredients:
1 pc of pineapple (baby, with leaves)
1 pc of apple (red)
Juice from 1 pc of lemon
For Syrup:
Juice from 1 pc of lemon
2 tsps of sugar (refined)
2 Tbsps of liqueur (Grand Marnier)
For the Fruit Salad:
Seasonal fruits (fresh such as orange, apple, banana, mango, pear, kiwi fruit)
Cream
Instructions:
Combine sugar and juice on a saucepan; simmer it for five mins, while stirring constantly, till sugar has completely dissolved. Add the liqueur and stir them well. Set syrup on the side.
Prepare seasonal fruits then pour in syrup; toss them well. Cut pineapple into half (vertically), with its leaves. Using a sharp grapefruit knife, scoop its flesh on each half. (Flesh must remain one piece)
Place the tossed fruits on the shells of pineapple. Slice (red) apple then dip them onto the juice of lemon, to avoid discoloration. Slice flesh of pineapples.
Arrange the slices (apple and pineapple) alternately above the fruits inside the shells decoratively. Serve with cream on the side.
