Calico Fruit Cookie Bars Recipe
Ingredients:
2 c of flour
1 tsp of baking soda
1/2 tsp of salt
2 tsps of vanilla
1 c of walnuts
3 lightly-beaten eggs
2 c of sugar
2 c of diced bananas
1 tsp of cinnamon
1 c of oil
1 c of halved cherries (Maraschino)
8 ounces pineapples (crushed); undrained
1/4 c of soften butter
1 & 1/2 Tbsp of heated water
1 & 1/2 c of sugar (powdered)
Instructions:
Grease & lightly flour one 10×15-inch jelly-roll pan. Mix together flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, vanilla, bananas, walnuts, cherries eggs and pineapple , stirring well ’til blended.
You spread batter into pan then bake it at 350 degrees F for 30-40 mins or ’til cake test is completed.
For the Glaze: You combine water. powdered sugar and butter adding enough liquid to create a nice spreading consistency.
Remove bars from pan then spread w/ glaze. Allow to cool & slice into equal bars then store inside the fridge.
